Getting married in church

Did you know that if you live in the village of any of our churches or have a connection with the village, then you are most probably entitled to get married in church. Today more than a quarter of all marriages in England take place before God in the traditional setting of a Church of England church. You’re welcome to marry in church whatever your beliefs, whether or not you are baptised and whether or not you go to church. For more information about getting married in church, see the Church of England’s special website for those planning a church wedding at You can also fill in the enquiry form on the ‘contact us’ page.
